Custom orders
BP Designs not only serves your dance community with our premiere dance line; but also designs and manufactures custom costumes for your local dance, drill, and color guard teams. Below you will find a step by step guide on how to order custom costumes.
1) Design- It all starts with a your ideas! Any ideas, pictures, inspirations, or color concepts that will help us get an idea of what your customer is looking for can be emailed to one of our designers. We will create sketches for you until you are pleased with the design. Here is a design sheet to help guide you.
2) Fabric- Once the design is set, fabric choice is next. We carry over 500 different fabrics, with access to thousands more. We work with sequin, lycra, stretch velvet, custom printed fabric, tulle, and other stretch fabrics. We will provide insight into which fabrics would work best with your design/budget so you end up with a costume that your customer will love! Have your customer look through our Fabric page and Custom Costume page for insight on fabric colors/combos.
3) Sample- Most of our customers choose to order a sample of the garment when ordering for a group. We create a sample of the costume for you to approve design, fit, and fabric. The sample must be tried on by the dancers and at this time, you will let us know anything you would like to change. If only minor changes are necessary, no second sample is made. This sample will also be used as a sizer if a size run is requested. Allow 2 weeks for sample to be created once design and fabrics are approved.
4) Sizing- Once the sample is tried on and approved, it is now time to place your order! We encourage the sample to be tried on as many dancers as possible to accurately judge sizing. Use the size chart Here to assist you with picking sizes. If a dancer doesn't fall into one of our sizes, custom sizes are also an option at an additional cost.
5) Delivery- Your order will be ready to ship 4-6 weeks from when you return the approved sample with your size selections. We will always do our best work with your requested ship date, so please provide that for clear communication!
